Cuteness in a Cart

Today we went as a family to lunch then to Lowe's. I decided to carry Shiloh in since we wouldn't be long and I love to hold her. I saw a little cart and then decided to see if she would fit. It was a garden center cart so it was smaller than normal. Well you would think that I handed Shiloh the moon. She was so happy to be sitting up like a big girl. She was holding on tight like a carnival ride and smiling from ear to ear. It was precious. We couldn't stop laughing because it was just so cute. Don't you think?

Recovery Is In Sight

Shiloh is well minus a lingering cough and sleeping through the night once again. I feel for the moms and dads whose infants seem to not sleep a consistent 8 hours till they are two. I would have already pulled my hair out and ate it. I am not a late nighter, nor am I naturally an early morning person. I am sort of an afternoon person however my beautiful baby isn't. I have it really easy though. We did baby wise from about two weeks of age so she knows that mommy will come in the room and get her when it is time. So till then sleep or play nicely in your crib. Most of the mornings I don't get out of bed till 6:45am or 7am and if I sleep a little later she loudly reminds me with her adorable talking voice.
We had to lower her crib mattress this weekend as she has started pulling up to a standing position. One wrong move and she would have been sailing over the side. So daddy got out the Allen wrench and down a notch she went. Yesterday and today she took her first consecutive "crawl steps". I am not sure whether three crawls in a row make a "crawler" but it sure impressed me. So this week I will be reorganizing and baby proofing a little more. Hiding exposed cords, inserting those attractive plastic socket covers and putting little latches on "no..no cabinets". I think that we need to get ready because pretty soon she is going to take over our house for real. We have the baby gear everywhere, but now there will be a "bottom" dweller on the loose. I have a baby gate and was wondering if confining her to her room was a bad idea or some kind if child abuse. It seems a little simpler that way. :-) Any suggestions?
She is so adorable and her personality cracks me up. I think that she is going to be a very clever little girl and I am going to need to be on my toes at all times. I can't wait!

On The Mend

Shiloh is getting better now that we are home and back in the swing of things. Last night I was up with her from around midnight til 2am. She was having a coughing fit. I gave her some medicine and some water to drink and she was finally able to rest. Poor little thing. Today she ran a little fever but we left it alone and let it do its work. We went to the prayer room and for a walk after that. She is eating better and we are trying to stay on top of hydration. Here is a little video from tonight. You would never know that she has been under the weather. Aren't kids resilient.

SICK!

My darling little angel is sick. We went home for the weekend with what started out as a little sneezing and cough, to having a full blown fever, hacking cough, runny nose, and no sleep. She was up every night from anywhere around 11pm -5am. Even with Benadryl (yes people it is a God send) she was up at night, yet didn't really sleep that much during the day. Amazing! Every time she would cough she would cry which was a very sad sight. Her little voice is horse and her nostrils a little raw. :-( We are home now and I think that she is glad to be back in her room (as am I. I can just shut the door and wa-la) and on her schedule. Life is going to get better and I am going to go take a nap.

This was a video from tonight. Grandma and grandpa Cooper bought her this jumper and she loves it.

This last video is older, but still worth the viewing

Litttle Cutie in Action,Update Part 2

Shiloh has been trying to crawl and is so close. We put her on the floor and she goes all over the place, yet we are not sure how she gets there since she doesn't crawl. She rolls all over and kind of scoots on her bum. It is so fun to watch her try to figure it all out!

Update Part 1

The last weekend in April we took around 15 friends camping in Arkansas at Devil's Den State Park. It is a camp ground that Steven and I grew up going to and there are many fond memories there. We usually go there at least once a year, but had not been in the last two years. It was Shiloh's first camping trip and she did extremely well. We took the pack and play for her to roll around in during the day and to sleep in at night. She stayed on her schedule pretty well and was her normal happy self. The weather was great and only a few sprinkles on Saturday. We went hiking, caving, shooting, and the guys rode their bikes on some trails. In the evenings we all made dinner and sat around the camp fire telling stories. It was a great weekend and everyone had a blast.

My Little Cutie

Shiloh turned 8 months old this Monday. Here she is sporting some super fun glasses proving that she is growing up and getting smarter, yet still has her sense of humor.
I uploaded pictures and videos to the computer today so I fully intend to have a much needed update for you tomorrow. But for now I thought that I would leave you with this.
Isn't she a doll!
